Commissioned in 2013.  This large canvas painting was a partner piece to a smaller composition based around the city of Zug in Switzerland. We were invited to see the city first hand and spent a few days exploring the sights. The old town runs down to the very edge of lake, with clear views over towards the mountain ranges of the Rigi and Pilatus.  The view of the city doesn’t exist from this vantage point, so the composition was constructed from a number of photographs at many different angles. You can see the distinctive blue and white stripes of the Zyyturm Clock Tower, the Spires of St Oswald and St. Michaels and the shorter red towers from the city walls.
