The historical city of Zug has fantastic views of the snowy peaks of the Bernese Oberland, as well as of the Rigi and Pilatus. However this scene looks back towards the old town, with it’s traditional painted buildings crowded together between the four wall towers. It has a number of beautiful spires, including the distinctive Zyyturm Clock Tower (closest, with the striped roof), St Oswald’s (Middle spire, here still in focus) and St. Michael’s (the misty tower at the rear).

I created this snowy scene as part of my 2013 Christmas card selection. This illustration is reproduced on 150 x 150 mm greeting cards with 300gsm TRUCARD stock.
